For greasy stains use vinegar. , 4. Treat the surface with a leather protector before the cold season. Do not use a stain remover, turpentine, shoe polish or any kind of grease. Abrasive cleaners may leave stains or darken the leather. , 5. Once a week wipe clean with a cotton cloth, wet clean, and then wipe dry every month.
