    Jamieson Brothers Beetroot Boltardy Vegetable Seeds


    A wonderful Beetroot to grow early.

    It has a great flavour and a good resistance to ‘bolting’.

    Ideal for freezing.

    Boil in salted water, and when cooled the skin can be removed by gently rubbing.

    Beta vulgaris ‘Boltardy' A wonderful Beetroot to grow early. It has a great flavour and a good resistance to 'bolting'. Ideal for freezing. Boil in salted water, and when cooled the skin can be removed by gently rubbing.


    SOWING OUTDOORS:


    March-July

    Row spacing: 30cm

    Sow seeds thinly 2.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 30cm apart. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 10cm apart. Twist off the leaves to prevent bleeding. Ideal for successional sowing. Protect young seedlings from birds using netting.

    Keep well watered in dry conditions.
